Living conditions

It is known that already in the last century, female convicts were placed in labor camps where they had to work in very harsh conditions. In the summer, they worked on large plantations and suffered from the scorching sun. In the winter, they worked deep in the mines, where there was also very hot too. Therefore, they did not need any clothes at all and that was good for administration of the Labour camp. Woman suffered from lack of food, sleep and were constantly beaten by their guards. No woman who left the courtroom with the verdict "Camp with a very strict regime" was ever seen again. At that time, photography was rare, so only some drawings painted by the convict or guard? ... have survived ... We will probably never find that out today.
